Main Partners
The main partners of the project are Industrie- und Handelskammer Gera (IHK) in Germany and Entwicklungsagentur Kärnten (EAK) in Austria. Both partners have a long experience of international and national projects focusing on regional development. Each partner handles coordination and management in their respective region. IHK as lead partners is also responsible for overall project management.
Funding
Part of the funding for the project is provided by the Interreg IIIC project ENABLE. This is a joint project between the regions of Carinthia in Austria through KWF, Thuringia in Germany through LEG and STIFT, Kaunas in Lithuania through Kaunas county and West Norway through Hordaland and Sogn of Fjordane County councils. The objective is:
"...to build on a long lasting interregional co-operation on SME related activities and through a strategic interrregional program improve the effectiveness of regional development policies and instruments for SMEs."
Sub contractors
Parts of the work carried out in the project will be done by sub contractors to the two main partners. This includes both research and administrative tasks. The subcontractors with a research responsibility will also participate in the dissemination activites, on regional and inter regional level.
The research partners in Austria will be published as soon as their approval of the publication of their names and institutes in relation to the project has been verified.
Umweltinstitut für Forschung und Technologie will head up the research in Thuringia aided by AEP Energieplan GmbH in matters regarding small scale energy production.
Thüringer Landesanstalt für Landwirtschaft will play an important role in the dissemination through an extensive network in the region and will arrange several of the events planned for the project.
Technikon Forschungs- und Planungsgesellschaft mbH is responsible for IST measures, including creating and maintaining the project website and collaborative workspace.
